Hello Jean-François. Great Website, very informative. Burlesque/Strip is like revival of Temple Dance of the Ancient Past.

The modern Drum-Kit began in Burlesque! In early 20th Century, Vaudeville & Burlesque tours could not afford taking many Percussionists like full Orchestra, so they invented the Drum Kit that was just three pieces; Low Bass-Kick/Mid-Range Snare/Upper-Range Hi-Hat. If You watch ALL Drummers playing no matter how huge their Drum-Kit, they still keep Rhythm on those three parts Kick/Snare/Hi-Hat. All Rhythmic Percussion Instruments fall in three Ranges affecting everyone who hears/feels those Rhythms. Sacred Percussionists will confirm this today still.

This is great info and advice in both Dance and Dj'ing that most working DJ's never look at in options for work.

Respect;

Hello jean-francois my name is Janell and I am also new with blogging...however I am a retired stripper going into the "Pole Party" business. I found your blog (don't ask me how I am the internet junkie of all time...I just surf and surf) and for some reason thought back to "the days" and my DJ's. You are right about the skills of a good DJ. I have a deep passion for music and body movement, together it is the ultimate release/high for me. I think one of my favorites for a really erotic show is "Justify my Love" by Madonna. So anyway Jean-Francois, please visit my blog and tell me what you think, as you, I am updating daily...and would love feedback. So far I think you are doing a great job...I love pages that have lots to check out. I will keep dropping in to see what you have added. I can add a link to your blog from mine... if you would like :) :) Looking forward to your response.
